April 22nd is Earth Day!

Earth Day Activity ~ Making a Globe with Joelle Meijer

More than 1 billion people celebrate Earth Day. This year, Earth Day is celebrated on Friday, April 22. Launched in the 1970's, Earth Day began to create awareness of the importance of our ecosystem.

The message was simple. We all need to be involved in protecting our world from pollution and other potential damages. Since then, environmental laws were passed, such as The Clean Air and Clean Water Acts. But, there are also simple tasks we all can do in order to shape a healthy world that can be safeguarded for generations yet to come.
